Can you e-file amended tax returns ?
The IRS does not currently allow filing an amended 1040 electronically. Each taxpayer who signed the original return will have to sign the amended return and mail the physical copy to the appropriate IRS office. If your amended return results in a refund, you will also have to receive that refund in a check not a direct deposit.
